Preferential Tax Policies During COVID-19 Period(Ireland)2020-05-08 16:07:45

At present, the COVID-19 is raging all over the world, which will seriously impact the safety of human beings and the development of economy and society. While introducing active anti measures, Ireland also launched a stronger tax support bill.

The policy points out that small and medium-sized enterprises that encounter temporary cash flow difficulties should continue to submit tax returns on time; the application for deferred payment interest of value-added tax and PAYE (employer) liabilities in January and February and March will be suspended; all debt enforcement activities will be suspended until further notice; and the tax clearance status of all enterprises will remain unchanged in the next few months.

For property tax, the local property tax paid according to the annual debit order or single debit institution is postponed to May 21, 2020.

For stamp tax, the stamp tax of credit card will be extended to July 1, 2020.

At the same time, the "green channel" of drug customs should be established to promote the continuous import and supply of key drugs necessary for epidemic prevention.
